Audi 90 imsa gto engine?

Hello! i'm new to the forum and have been checking out the threads here and its a lot of good info about my absolute favorite car, the s2

My first questions to all the audi people here is: do someone know the specs of the audi imsa gto engine? which engine its based of of, and all the above.
I want to start a s2 3b race/sidewaysfun project and i really like the high rpm's of the imsa gto engine. i want to do the same exhaust layout also just for fun and earkilling loud revs

The IMSA motor did not rev any higher than the normal 20vt does,
it was 720 hp @ 7500 rpm.

its the alublock verson.. 79,5 bore and 85,0 stroke... did have the spec headunit..no camchain, but wheels to wheels drive.. maybee.. or??

It must have.. audi cq 2.3 20vt: 168hp at 6000rpm.. i think the imsa engine was a bit more revier

Revving the engine is not the only thing which makes power.

What kind of engine is the 2.3 20vT?. 7A makes that in those ranges without the turbo.
I know they revved to S1 to about 8500, but everything is maxed out before that.

Who said anything about high rpms is power? i simply said that i think the imsa engine had a higher red line than the stock 20vt engines..
