Hi guys you people with all the knowledge my s2 faile on co2 emission 320 any ideas how i can get that figure down i fitted new plugs ,engine oil and filter also new air filter

they don't test for CO2 (carbon dioxide) , they test CO (carbon monoxide).

From the numbers, you are describing Hydro Carbon (HC) emissions, not CO2, as that's not measured. CO would be measured as a percentage, with a pass bening <0.30% and a non-cat car being around 0.75%.

What is the CO measurement?

To diagnose the car, you need to have the fault codes read to find out what's failed on the enigne. Could also be the catalytic converter.

High HC usually means unburnt fuel in the exhaust, most commonly caused by a poor ignition system miss firing. What is the car/engine?

Hi just ran a fault code and 00255 comes up never seen that before i have a Vag-Com code reader also a full version on lap-top and the same code comes up any idea,s

Looks like the infamous speed sensor G68 code that always confuses people, me included Engine off = no speed signal Best check though in case it's not...

High HC can also be air leaks and oil being burnt in exhaust

Thanks too you all, will go through all your suggestions tomorrow its late and am fed upworking under spotlights its cold outside i will erase all codes and give the car a good run tomorrow then will check codes again something sticks in my mind about that g68 sensor but cannot bring it to mind. fill the E85 fuel... problem solved.. have about 10-20 liter, if you have some fuel in.. ( about 50% full of other fuel, fx 98)
