Never heard of this before when I started reading this I thought someone was pulling his plonker but it does seem that there is a lot of people using this method of using two stroke oil in diesel . Which when I think of it a couple of years ago when I was working on the tractors we ad a injection pump go down and the customer mentioned about the reduced sulphur fuels is ****ing up injection pumps looks like he was right. So when would you start adding two stroke oil to your fuel from day one brand new engine or some thousand miles on the clock plus would in only benefit mechanical injection rather tha the modern day common rail systems but then you still have a high pressure pump in those so may be both. Quite interesting really how people come up with solutions to stuff.
never set your expectations to high that way you are never disapointed

Just been chatting to a mate who has an 06 X-Trail 2.2d, with an engine miss prob. I think it could be an injector fault, as it knocks like an old Perkins Prima (Montego/Maestro D) when cold. He's gonna try some 2 stroke oil in his- gotta be worth a try, eh?

I've read this too and thought about trying on mine, I thought it would only benefit an older derv car though, the newer stuff is designed to run on low sulphur fuel?

The newer cars are designed to brake faster to spend more money into parts and service....not for running with low sulphur fuel.
