Oh great my friendly audi dealer. They arnt interested if your car is ovwr 5 years old here. Any part numbers

Can't remember if I dropped it into the original basket after trimming a ridge at the top or used the basked of the s4/rs4 dropped into the ur frame as been a while

They're both the same pump. For inline you just add a fitting and hose to the base. I'm not sure if the one in the link is capable of 10bar TBH.

I used to think the same but according to Bosch they are not they have different internals and are sent to a different production dept.

the 044 and 040 have the same diameter, so it will fit right in... have done the job on a audi 200... have the 044 intank, instead of a 040... i used the the little sock from a volvo 240, in the bottom of the pump...the 040 does have the mesh in the bottom...

I ve order the basket from Audi ,was 25 quid from what I remember. Stock basket is way to narrow for 044 even the one I ve bough was a bit to tight and need a bit of trimming inside to push the pump all the way down to be properly installed.

I used a basket from a V8 fuel tank to install in the S6.

I bought mine from Loba Motorsport, kit with basket.
Only this is that you still need to fit a non return valve.

That banjo will not work on a UrS4/6. You need a banjo with a hose fitting, like this:
