    ARP head stud size

How much clearance is there supposed to be between ARP head studs and the head? The reason I ask is that I helped remove the head from an S2 yesterday and there seemed to be zero clearance and all the studs were stuck in the head. This meant the head was impossible to remove without unscrewing all the studs

I'm thinking that whilst the head is off, the holes be drilled out 0.5mm bigger than the studs to stop this happening again.

    What washers were used ?
the reason I ask is there is a common problem with the ARP washer not being
big enough and the result is they crush/distort the bolt hole through the head,
this sounds like what has happened.

I never thought of that, Std ARP washers used AFAIK. We'll measure the holes top and bottom and see if that is the reason.

You need either sport quattro washers or the washers off stock headbolts (cut the bolts to get them off)
