Does anyone know the torque settings for the three M6 bolts that hold the impulse rotor to the crankshaft on some of the 4 and 5 pot motors? Kinda want this done right since it has the potential to cause an engine to self-destruct if it comes loose.
Torque setting?

It's a 5 event trigger wheel only on some later model crankshafts, not any use to motronic but perfect for Autronic and I don't have to mount the two sensors back onto the bell housing area.
15nm and some loctite it is

I took that plate wheel of yesterday as I'm getting the crank inspected and polished today. I just think that the original flywheel setup might be better as there are 2 sensors. one counting each tooth of which there are way more than 5. then the resolution would be much better. any links to anyone using the 5 event trigger. I'm using vems so I wonder if it's supported?Comment

I confirmed with Autronic over the phone that this wheel is suitable, not sure for VEMS though. I think I read somewhere on the Autronic forum that this wheel is prefered as there are less events and therefore less noise or errors. It was something along the lines of that anyway, it's been a little whille since reading up on it.
Jonus Racing seem to be using it as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CYxeDCer0lc pause at 0:27 sec

nice video. more vems research needed me thinks. I suppose I could always fit it and perhaps never use it.Comment
