    Help!

Took off from lights wot, backed off after 200 yards and pulled into inside lane and then noticed the rev counter needle dropping to the bottom and ign lights come on.

Car will not start so checked all the fuses at the drivers door, checked fuses under the bonnet and pulled all the relays in there aswell.

I have vcds and what's strange is it can't connect to the engine module, all the other modules connect and there are no faults...

    Fuel pump?

Back to basics, have you checked that you have fuel and spark?

Not sure on why it won't connect to vag com but I would check that a air hose hasn't blown off following your wot pull.

Then you have no fuel pressure. Maybe the fuel pump has died a death, or you have an electrical problem that is preventing the pump running.

Take the panel out of the boot floor to expose the fuel pump access panel, then get somebody to crank the engine whilst you have your head in the boot, you should hear the pump kick in. Sounds like it's dead though.

Also check the G28 engine speed sensor, the ECU will not start the pump unless it see's 25rpm from this sensor.

Paul's thread helped me last week when mine wouldn't start.

A25c: Be aware that the G28 engine speed will throw an error code (2111 (Blink Fault Code), 00513 VAG1551/2) if the engine isn't running when the VAG1551 (or VAG-Com) is used. This is a false code. All non-running AANs, ABYs and ADUs will throw that. The G28 is likely fine. And the RPM requirement is as low as 13 RPM:

Yikes. That would do it and cranking to try and start the engine would just bend the valves (more). Typically 2 intake valves, potentially more.
