Hi. I've just finished a track day at Mallory Park, all went well, anyway on the way home the RS2 seemed to have a lot more power than it ever has before!
So my question is why was it so much quicker?
Does the RS2 have a learning ECU
Any ideas
I had my mate in the car and we were both shocked at the increase in boost, up to that point I had never actually felt the turbo properly kick in before, as I mentioned in a previous post I did have the car terracleaned earlier in the week maybe it was that if so everyone should get their car terracleaned
Do you have a boost gauge fitted? Boost shouldn't be affected by this sort of activity in this way; only reduced by problems or under certain circumstances, like high altitude.
Check your N75 and WG hoses & diaphragm...

I don't currently have a boost gauge fitted, i will have a poke around the intake hoses, the waste gate does now sound different when it dumps so maybe I have a sticky diaphragm or spring?
I think I would be concerned. If you could not feel it boosting before and now strong boost there is a problem somewhere needs investigating before something goes bang.
I phoned the garage where I had it Terracleaned, and he said an increase in power like that is normal, so if that is the case I think everyone should get their motors Terracleaned lol
