Erm... Attached to the starting ring between the engine and gearbox...

Remove undertray, lay underneath, follow big electric cables, cannister about 10" long connects between engine and 'box... etc, etc....

This is so true... Our undertray was actually an overtray for 18 months, it was in the loft area of the garage.... It's a pain in the a$rse when managing all those 'nip in, nip out' jobs....

            drivers side under the turbo.

1x 17mm bolt from what I remember at top use some long extensions to do.
1x 13 bolt for power cable
1x push on white plastic clip - be careful, there is two terminals it can go on, one will start the car the other does nothing
1x 16/17mm bolt that you have to go from above to crack off as its easier from behind the wastegate. It is a nut/bolt that once you've cracked it off and removed the nut the bolt will come back so far before hitting the cover for the driveshaft.

If you get stuck give me a shout.

Cool, will try that first. I have a funny feeling it might be wiring, had a funny feedback noise in the dash area now and again when trying to start it? The list of problems goes on haha.... I will NOT give in and break her Im getting used to being skint

Could be ignition switch, i'd try bumping it first, if it bump starts then you know the engine is fine and its either the wiring by the ignition, the starter or the wiring to the starter most likely. Either that or a low battery.
