    hey folks

    I've now owned my 2.2 10v 1990 Quattro coupe for about three weeks and am totally in love with it, I had a few niggles at first rear lights leaking in which was sorted out by a kind forum member who was selling some rear light seal, I even built a car port on the side of the house so now my baby will never be wet again .I am in desperate need of a towing eye cover to complete the car and as I have found Dr Livingston would be easier to find, so to get to the point I have just been looking through my documents and it says on them turbo coupe does this mean my car use to have a turbo fitted anyone any clues? ?

    In a word NO - a lot of them if not all, were wrongly registered when new (Audi UK to blame??)

        It would be uneconomical for the return on a n/a lump, given the availability of 20v turbo lumps to drop straight in. But if you want a turbo in fairness you may as well just sell it and buy an S2 to start with. (Says he who has done exactly the opposite )

          I have had a couple of 10v CQ's in the past and both were reg'd as Turbo's on the reg document. Clearly both were not as continental plate movement travels faster. I do miss the first one though. It was the most reliable, hard wearing car ever. Sold to a fireman in Coventry. Shame, biggest automotive regret I reckon. Keep the 10v and buy an S2 anyway. I would deffo consider a CQ for a daily driver if I could justify the fuel cost. Both of mine were red too (well the 2nd one was more of a pinkish colour)

                stick an MC2 10VT from a 200/100 turbo! it's much more cheap than any 20VT. Maybe having the complete front clip of the donor car you can exchange all the needed bits! Both are K-Jet so no complicated stuff.... if I am not wrong!!! it could be a very interesting swap

                      NA is engine code - the heater blower problem = will either be;
                      1) switch
                      2) relay
                      3) fuse
                      4) wires
                      5) resistor pack

                          lol - yeah Audis are confusing (try working out S4 is/was an A6 ) anyway AFAIK the MC-2 is the 10v turbo engine fitted to the Audi 200

                            So now in my mind I have a kv n/a that's lacking a turbo, I will be bald on a week with all the head scratching that's going on .lol..

                            Ps bits I have grasped so far I have a 2.2 10v 5 cylinder ... I think! !!!

                            Are the engines different that have turbo s fitted so there for fitting a turbo would be unessasary strain on the engine ...

                              Right,

                              NA = Naturally aspirated, ie- not turbo or super charged.

                              KV = Your existing engine code. Which is a 2.2 five cylinder 10V NA motor.

                              MC2 = 2.2 five cylinder 10V turbo charged engine found in Audi 100's and possibly 200's.
