You should have mentioned the desire to turbocharge your 7A in the original post.

i would imagine a 004 with a 7a fpr would be ok, just a whole lot more petrol going back your return pipe. but this is just a thought, so maybe the guys with more know in the question your asking can chime in and help you out there !!

will an large flow/pressure fuel pump causes running problems, with lets say, stock 7A - injectors - afr's ect.. for the months or three he will be driving a stock 7a spec with a 004 pump

          good question tom

all above is just a thought

Most C4 UrS AAN people go to a Bosch 044 when they upgrade. This requires the bigger 60 mm basket. Your OE pump might already be 60 mm (instead of 43 mm) so that would be one step. The noise that people talk about is most likely the check valve. If you use a BMW external check valve, the noises issue goes away.

Some C4 UrS people have tried the Walbro 255 Lph pumps but the history has not been good (pump failures and engine damage).

I've been looking at these for my +600hp build. Might be overkill, but fuel pressure would be the last thing to ever worry about. I don't like the idea of having two pumps in parallel (044's).

044 is more than adequate unless you are going to run E85.

Orginal Bosch works fine with e85. Some replicas don't like it though.
