    HX40 super 40 rebuild problems...

Hi everyone , I took my super 40 apart because it was seeping a little oil on the shaft out from the hot side, so I took it apart and bought a rebuild it and rebuilt the whole thing, after assembling it I started the car and ran it for a little and everything seemed fine so I finally took it out for a spin , and it was smoking alot out the exhaust like it did previously before the rebuild , and then to find the shaft right before the hot side was sweating alot more oil this time....

I'm stumped any tips what I did wrong possible or what had to be done ?

Does the ring at the end of the shaft that seals the oil, does that have to be seated ? ( in my opinion I don't think it does correct me if in wrong.

Thanks in advance for the help

No sure how the Holset compares to the KKK K24-7000/7200/7400 but you might want to have a look at this:

    RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan
    94 UrS4 V8 6 spd manual avant

It is good in general to run it slowly for a while because it is used already. you need to ckeck also the position of the ring so that the gap is looking in the upper direction. so that it does not sip.

Run it for a little bit in city traffic to see if it gets better. When I installed my new turbo it gave a little puff when cold for the first 500 kms. After that I had no issues.
      Go Holset or Go RS4

Ill have to give this a try and honestly I am not sure if the ring is sitting upright, I may have to dissemble it up to this part and check this.

Check the bore for the piston ring for run-in marks, next to that you check the gap just like piston rings.

Will look if i have reference measurements, sure i have them somewhere...
