    B4 v6 to 2.7 BI turbo conversion?

    Does anyone have info on fitting a B5 S4 engine/loom to a V6 2.6 80?

I have seen a few pics of cars done and I have an engine.
If anyone can point me in the direction of a build thread that would be good!

Im wondering if room needs to be made in the chassis legs for turbos.

pretty sure ive read in the past that the turbos do need to be where the chassis legs are.. good luck on going a different route to the norm

Yes you will need to make a few structural changes, but nothing too strenuous.
I say go for it, it would be nice to see something a bit different to the norm. If I was to stray from the I5 this is what I would do

For sure, but he has an n/a V6 car and an engine already, so actually the Bi-turbo is probably a much cheaper route to 300hp, albeit a less plug & play job

i take it the v6 box will bolt up to the 2.7 engine with no issues then?

yup, the V6 uses a different final drive ratio but will bolt right up and work well as long as it can handle the torque in the longer term, in fact the gear ratios are probably really well suited for this nice torquey engine

Thanks for link and input chaps.
It does look to be a bolt up job on the box, and I think it will break traction before stressing the box. (yes, im building a FWD cabrio with 300hp)

The wiring doesn't scare me, but the chassis legs does. Im also thinking I can run a throttle cable instead of fly by.
