Breather pipe to carbon canister?

Think this may have been put back on out of line and is now damaged should it be moved and replaced?

Sorry, the pipe has split but is still attached and one of them is rubbing on the air filter housing causing it to wear. Sure it must have more clearance so just wondered if it should be moved or maybe it is connected wrong
