wtf is wrong with it now

couple weeks ago went for some retail therapy and on th eway back stopped to chat with someone, for a while the car has been idling rough < when i stopped the car was revving at 2000 rpm and then had a misfire and has idled perfectly ever since.
Since then it has been running slightly rough but was sorted by some new plugs, now it seems to have a fuel starvation problem that has not improved by new fuel filter
are these problems linked and what is the likely cause ?

there have been a lot of fuel pump failures recently, guess all the cars are getting to that age. Have the fuel pressure checked

Take out the s/plugs-if white-lean mixture. And check the Idle speed valve.
