    Starting problems s2 3b

    Hello!
have a problem with my s2. 3b engine.

I was out driving the car and then drive it into the garage. The following day so the car refused to start.
petrol pump has been started before the ignition but do not do it anymore, but only starts when you pull the engine

    I have spark
    I have fuel pressure regulator
The injectors open only one time then they open no more
It starts when spraying gas into the intake.

    Have replaced the following:
    petrol pump
    ecu
    injectors
    removed the alarm

Give me like tips on things to do!
Could it have to do with the sensors on the flywheel?

    Sincerely sebastian Sweden

The pump is only supposed to go when the engine turns over. Have you checked that the injectors are firing? Turn over and then remove plug and look down hole. There is a thread in tech section for engine not starting condition.

It certainly sounds like the flywheel trigger has broken off or the sensor is faulty.

martinws: I have removed the injectors rail and when i crank the engine they only flush 1 time, no mather how long i drive the starter it only spits 1 time from the injectors.

sidrick: i have taken off the sensors i crank the engine by hand. i can se the little "pin" on the flywheel. but maybe the sensor are broken. but i have read like 100 forums that if the sensor i broken i shouldnt get spark? or?

thank you very much for answer

I was trying to help jakeger on another forum and sent him here. (I still think it is a fuel pump/fuel-relate issue because it starts when fuel is sprayed into the intake).

Checking for the codes is a good idea. He says his fuse box doesn't look like the one below. In any event, there will be diagnostic plugs somewhere.

Here are some hints from SJM Autotechnik on pulling codes:

Any chance that you could take a photo of your fuse box, showing the cover diagram (nice and sharply focussed) and the fuse box with the lid off? I would add the three photos to this post (photo credit to you):

i got like 3.5 bar in my regulator. and i opened the fuel rail and crank the engine, fuel pissing out, very much. so dont think the pump.

i have done diagnostic, only got fault on "high boost", "idle" dont now if its the correct words.

I´ve heard that if the oilpreassure sensor is broken "the one with 2 poles". the car wont start.

I should send you some photos on how my box looks like.

                  regards sebastian

Good news on the fuel pump. Your fuel pressure regulator pressure isn't right for a 3B but that wouldn't stop the engine from running.

There is no connection between any oil pressure sender and the ECU so that won't be the issue.

Is your injector fuse okay? Either No. 27 or 28?

Is there another ECU that you can try (might be a holding relay (inside the ECU) issue)?

                    Photos are good.

Great news but we need to know which sensor(s)?? What colour were they? Which one(s) in this diagram? The G61 or G66 knock sensors or the G4 Crank or G28 Engine speed sensor?

I am asking which of the sensors in that diagram was the problem? As in was it the front knock sensor, the rear knock sensor, the G4 Ignition (crank position) sensor or the G28 engine speed sensor? Or ??

The idea is if we know what the problem was, when somebody else has the same issue in the future, we can figure it out faster.
