    random cuts and stalling HELP!

    Hi guys
I am having problems with my ABY, I randomly get ignition cuts when following traffic eg low revs but also when under load, and today when at junctions it will just die like I have stalled it then abit later the rev counter just flicked up and dropped back down.

I have changed the plugs ( bosch ) also cam sensor and bought a spare tfsi coil pack and tested through them and found that one of them was broken down so running the new one In the place of the broken one.

Anyone know what could be causing this to happen?

Read the fault codes. It usually turns out to be MAF related on this sort of thing. The lambda caused stalling when stopping for me also though

Might be MAF connector pins or the wire. Bigcooler: have a read on this:

This could be due to a faulty G28 engine speed sensor afaik this gives signal also to the rev counter....

Thanks n credits as usual to UrS4boy for the infos:

Check all your earth connections too including battery terminal. I had some strange running issues a while back and found a loose connection. Once pinched up idle and performance was back to normal.

Thank you for all of your responses.

I have changed the maf with another on and cleaned the connector plug at the same time as changing the cam sensor and still no different

Also I cannot get vagcom to connect to the ecu I keeps saying (link error)

TPS as in Throttle Position Switch (actually potentiometer but who's counting? )

Could be. Wouldn't be my first guess (MAF) but hey, might as well eliminate it from further enquiries by checking it out. Here is some info that should help:
