    Ignition control module unit broken

    Hi!
The last saturday mi car was on 4 cil for only some minutes. And the sunday was fine... so far the midnight.

I've the 5th cil out and if I changed the control modules between, when, the dead cil is the 2nd.

OK. I must buy other new one and the ETKA say that the ref is 4A0 905 351 A and 155€ or moore
But on ebay this ref appear for Audi S6 2.7T and a lot of others; and for less than 110€

My question is if our modules are the same of the other Audi/VW cars and I can buy anyone.

    Thanks a lot guys

        Hi to all...

Yesterday I made the pin swap and all goes fine.
But today the car goes to stop on highway
The ECU's Fuse broken and a lot of problems

At last. One old positive wire from 3rd coil goes to "earth" and the the module that I swap (using "6th coil") will be broken on 1st channel (for the 4 coil).

        Call to "carbulance" and home.
All the morning burned on the highway around 50kms from my garage.

On monday I must buy other one and test

        Thanks anyway

At last isn't the control module the new breakdown...
I don´t know how but the 4th Coil was KO.

Goodness, I have the old coil stored

Now the car is powerfull already

Happy to hear that you figured it out. Old coil wires get brittle and crack and sometimes short to the cam cover, causing all sorts of problems.

I hope the material and links I provided were of some help.
