Differences Between 1B and MB Engines

Some reading online suggests the MB used in the quattro and the 1B used in the 200 quattro are very similar, is this correct?

Samco offer full sets of coolant/induction/breather and turbo hoses for the MB and I would like to know if they will fit the 1B in a 1988 200 quattro.

Coolant and intake plumbing are very different from coupe to 200.
