Replacing valve cover gasket on 3B

Anybody could point me in the direction of a DIY for a valve cover gasket replacement on a 1991 Coupe S2 with 3B engine? Any directions, advices, etc. would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all.

The diagram is for an AAN but the Item no.s are the same.

    1. Remove enough of the items related to the intake manifold than would impede removal of the cam cover.
    2. Remove the ignition wires and/or coils (AAN)
    3. Remove items 15 and 16 noting that Item 15 is longer than 16 and where they go.
    4. Remove the two items 19
    5. Gently pry the cam cover off the head.
    6. Remove Item 17 (outer gasket, inner gasket and half moons).
    7. Clean the head of any residual gunk that would impare sealing.
    8. Reverse process with new Item 17 bits. Use of small amounts of high temp silicone sealant to hold the half-moons in place is acceptable.

Thanks a lot! When taking apart the intake manifold, are there any gaskets there (I can see that there is at least one between the throttle body and the intake manifold) that would need to be replaced as well in your experience?

And do not tight the bolts (15-16) to hard as it will only give you a leak again even with a new gasket..

          Here's a good guide:

For an ABY but there's not much difference.

Are you really from the US of A or did you forget to select your country's flag when you signed up to the forum?

Also be careful tightening the 2 x item 19 fixings, they snap really easily, both of the ones on my 3B snapped at approx 7 nm.

Yes, I live in the U.S., but I am originally from Russia (and the S2 in question is also there)... By the way, what made you ask - is it really that obvious from my English?

English is fine. It was just that there were no S2s officially imported into the US.

Yeah, I should have figured that out before asking the question about English...

Anyway, thanks again for the advices! It will surely make the job much easier. I've got the right side of the engine block (more towards the bottom and oil pan) and bottom of the transmission covered with oil, and as far as I can see there are leaks at the corners at the valve cover (also on the right side), so I figured I would start with that gasket and maybe it will take care of it... At least I will know for sure that that is not a problem spot.
