battery relocation to boot

Guys

am currently in the "secondary" planning stage for my aby conversion to the 16vq

one issue is the battery. at present its behind the headlight on the passenger side. not ideal as the radiator goes there.

I am planning to relocate it to the boot. its not much of a boot anyway on a b3 q. more a glovebox at the rear of the car.

to the electronics guys. is it just a matter of extending the cables with the suitable size cable. there are some kits about that look like cable extensions.

I cannot see why extension wouldn't work. but I could be miles off.

to be honest I cannot remember if I have the full aby loom or not. either way I have no rear battery box under the seat and don't plan to fit one.

this for me is the first job to do.

Yup just extend the cables - you probably need to upsize them as you have guessed.
On the ABY looms there is a beast of a feed to the starter motor and then a separate accessory feed that goes to the +30 supply at the fuse board.

cheers. im pretty sure ill have the feed to starter. then ill extend.
