twoqu I don't know how to put a link to another thread I did a few years back, its shows the way I have piped it all up, jamil is also running same same way with no problems but saying that his maf is on the pressure side, I am hoping that once mapped this will be ok

I have just seen the shiney pic! So its a vent to atmosphere type. What have you done with the carbon cannister/evap solenoid stuff?
Obviously a stock car has no issues so the answer is in whats different if you see what I mean. Unless as we have already mentioned it something to do with the turbo somehow. I am struggling to understand why but there is a body of evidence to suggest it is. Quite a few have relocated the Maf.Comment

lol was shiney, with the old set up it was connected back to the inlet but now ive deleted the n80 and left the carbon canister disconectedI have just seen the shiney pic! So its a vent to atmosphere type. What have you done with the carbon cannister/evap solenoid stuff?

As Robin stated, i had the same problem with my GT3071R. First on my coupe, where it was really annoying. I got in the habit of dipping the clutch, letting it die and then bump it on approach to junctions. Became second nature after a while! It was the same before and after mapping.
When fitted to my avant it occurred but less frequently, only difference being the ABY ignition and headwork & oversize valves. That said i only coveted 200 miles before it went bang...
I was planning to go pressure side MAF. It remained a mystery, but im sure logging MAF readings and fuelling would give some clues.AUDI - saving Dad's from minivans since 1994

Not sure if this relevant or not:
Others run both a seperator and a catch can and then return the clean air back into the system. Like JP for example.Comment

Seem to recall the Motronic doesn't like it much when it does not see it! You must have the fault code then. Not entirely sure what the parameters are but basically the ecu is trying to blend the vapours into the engine whilst maintaining the Lambda/idle speed etc so it may be influencing things.Comment

Im going to connect the n80 back and vent in back to the inlet and sew how that worksSeem to recall the Motronic doesn't like it much when it does not see it! You must have the fault code then.
