Technically you are correct. However, I am not convinced that a 2004 A4Q 01E with 3.89 would be a plug and play in a 96 UrS6 autobox with 3.89 rear diff. It might be, I have just never heard of anyone using one in a C4.

Probably not PnP, but with this box no need to change the diff. The prop shaft, of course, and probably the front axles.

However, the OP was asking about stock boost pressure on the auto.
      Way OT.

FWIW, actually like driving the S6 auto now that it has the prj chip set.
Now, if there was an affordable way to beef up the auto trans to handle say 500Nm, that would open up more possibilities.
Right now it should be able to handle 410Nm according to Dmitri.

It will bolt in exactly the same as any other 01e would.

The only reason for going with the 3.89 tdi box is not having to change the rear diff as well.

Also the long ratio 6th of the tdi box makes it a nice cruising gear

2.5 seems too much for a MTM set, it should never hit that, unless the wastegate membrane has a hole in it or someone wound down the spring.

Before.if yours is socketed,it s easy to get it done.though if it was not socketed.if you have some
Soldering skill.i believe you can get it done within 1-2hrs max.
