    Vagcom in Bristol (or near)

Right, I think I would rather pay an enthusiast on here to plug Vagcom to my car than taking it to some backstreet garage who will probably tell me I need a new engine (or turbo)
So if anyone has one and they are willing to (and have the correct lead) have a look at my A3 then please pm me to discuss prices.
In addition if you come to mine I can supply tea, quality biscuits and even dinner in some cases
Or I can come to you ?
For what this cost me so far I could have bought an S2

Thats the one mate. I have a handheld fault scanner i bought years ago. Its basic but will pull codes easily
Its another option for you. Defo check the pcv pipes and thin vac pipes under inlet manifold for splits they are common. Also bin the dv and put back to standard. VAG spent millions designing the engine and someone decided to change a vital part without any research

Surely AllAudi would do it for minimal cost if there isn't someone local who can do it. They diagnosed a coil pack fault on my car for free last time I asked.

Thanks to Andy I now have a comprehensive (read large) printout of my vagcom error codes !
I can disregard the ones for interior lights and door contacts as these are the previous owners attempt at disco lighting
Central locking pump runs for a bit in the tailgate so I'm aware of that.
I have a air-bag light on dash so aware of that.
Found some ABS error codes but not sure why as its all working as it should ?

Then there are the engine codes
