You need to pressurise the system, it will be a leak that only shows up under pressure

Mine was loosing coolant but no puddle etc turned out to be the aux water pump and was misting water onto the block so it was drying off took a while to find it I can tell you

tried that a bit back with no evidence.....it seems once its left standing over a significant period it looses fluid....

I've just checked mine after a fortnight of not running and its dumped a full expansion tank and more!!....
