    Water temperature!

In some informations about AAN, etc, I saw that the "normal" temp on I5 is when the needle is on the ~80ºC, and it could get to ~100ºC... But my car only run on 80ºC on city, on hyway run, i have the needle on the begining, in that 3 marks, and the oil temp, the maximum that i saw was 90ºC...

This could be the thermostat or the Multi-function sensor... i think!

But my question is, this temperature that my car run could make the car do low boost?

I only get 0.5bar... if i do more throttle, the car cut off...

The parts that i replace already:

-Coil (that things that connects to the sparks, dont no the rigth name of it)
    -N-75 Valve
    -Intake temperature sensor
-Replace the bypass for one Forge
-Rev sensor (dont no the correct name)

My ECU don't have errors, all seem to connected, etc

Need help, on Audi, they seem to be a "little" , and so do i!

I ordered the pressure kit to Lee, could be a leak?

Many thanks, (thanks Graeme, for your support to, i will check the ignition modules too)

Mine runs at the same temperature of around 80 degs. Only reaches 90+ when I've been driving hard then slow down and stop in heavy traffic. I've replaced MFTS already as it wasn't working at all.
I wouldn't be too worried, the UrS4 has a massive radiator compared to the S2 and just seems to run much cooler all round. I don't think it's anything to do with your boost problems, sorry Bruno.

No Graeme, my car just riuns on 80 when i drive on city, 1st 2ng gears....

My engine run in this temperature... Someone tell me that on low temperatures the engine internals have more friction

But don't know if this is normal, don' know anybody with a S4, just RS2.pt, and his rs2, do more temperature!

I hope that someone give me a help with this "gremlin"

You could try cleaning the contacts on the MFTS, or give it a wee tap and see if it moves. Mine didn't work at all, no reading on the temp gauge in the car. I used a socket extension and a small hammer, it started working again after tapping it gently. That's how I knew it was just the sensor that wasn't working.

But as I say, mine rarely goes over 80 degs. I really don't think it's problem.

it could be that the dial in the car is fine and the thermostat is stuck open. mine never gets above 60 degrees on the dial, even after half hour drive to/from work.

at this temp the water shouldn't be going into the rad (i think) but it, and the pipes, are luke warm after driving. i have brought a new one, 8 pounds from gsf, hopefully you have some equivilant in Portugal.

And now hil, what temperature you got?

The news cars get 90ºC very fast, because of catalysador and internals parts...

                        Was the thermostat...

Now run on 83~91 on the climatronic dispay (more accurancy)....

Run the engine under 80ºc will decrease the MPG... will "drink" more oil... and increase the friction on the internal parts...

Just replaced the thermostat but it still stays on 70C. Doesn't get any hotter. Any advise?

Is it normal when I turn the heating on then the main ventilator attached to water radiator starts working?
