best plug leads to use in 380bhp 3b

Ok before anyone shouts about just converting to coil packs, that is on the cards but need something that's going to be reliable until then. Present ones were supposed to be oe beru but they caused misfires until i fitted some old ones . Anyone used splitfire10mm or magnecor 85 leads......
Same goes for plugs with the issues surrounding f5dpor now, what other option works. ...

    Coil packs!

I'd go with Magnecor leads Dave, in fact I am - but only linking my plugs to my LS2 coils
I believe they do an off-the-shelf kit for the 3B - only problem with them in my eyes is the high end ones can look a big showy, but they should fit under the lead cover and I think you can spec the outer sleeving in black

I am having the same plug quandary right now with plugs: see here

I've been keeping a keen eye on how you were getting on with having your new set up mapped as I'm looking at Automark for my 3B. Where did you get your Beru leads from? I ask as I have a brand new set of supposedly genuine Beru's fitted and I don't want to experience the same issues you did when it comes to getting the car mapped. Drop me a PM if you'd rather

The OEM Beru lead set p/n is ZEF 1127 so you should be able to order from a distributor
For reference the Beru coil p/n is ZSE 005 but I don't think its available to the aftermarket

          Cheers Alex.

I've got a pretty much brand new genuine coil fitted which is nice, however I have a suspicion my leads came from the same source as the OP's.

Think I'm going to convert to coil packs if I have to renew the leads again, the ÂŁ130 odd quid a decent set costs combined with what I'd get for my old ignition circuit (all new parts) would go a good way towards the bits including one of your sexy looms. I'd only have to do the rods then and I'd be all set for further financial ruin.

Mark showed me that although the plug caps/ suppresors were beru the leads themselves were not (no Beru writing on them unlike the set he showed me). However I'll go with the performance kv85 leads after a chat to Col Hinde at the NEC this weekend who ran over 500bhp on his 3B without issues

Out of interest I have no idea what power mine is actually producing on its limited 23psi at present, but as a guide 50 to 70 in 3rd is 1.8secs average, 70 to 90 in 5th (6 speed box) is 3 secs. Series 2 so a bit lighter than an S2 which helps..... so any rough guesses would be welcome

Just thought I'd provide an update. Have had the KV85 'race' magnecor leads for just 3 months and 1500miles and they started to cause the odd misfire, 500miles later (yesterday) after some exuberant 'testing' with the eboost2 they started misfiring on even mild boost so off they came and back on with the oem and all sweet again.
Since read that a few people have had issues with the magnecor leads on the 20Vt. So for reference keep away from Magnecor they are clearly no more than impressive to look at

stock plugs are the best I found.

stock plugs on 125k original coilpacks at 2bar on big turbo.
