    Timing Cover Pros/Cons

So just curious of y'all opinions... I see lots of really clean engine bays and people running no timing belt cover... what are the thoughts on this?

    I see:
Pros - easier to check condition of belt, one less piece to remove, clean mechanical look if you get a nice pulley

Cons - chance of rock causing damage/getting wedged in (unrealistic?), less protection from the elements

Would you run with or without cover? Thanks

    Interference engine.

You got ask yourself "Do I feel lucky?"

    Well do you ya punk?

Run the cover *and* the belly pan. Save your engine.

That's what I figured. So glad my 96 still came with the front under shroud! Comes out quick too.

As unrealistic as it is, I have seen first hand the damage of a rock flinging up under the belt causing a piston v valve battle royale.

        Run the cover.

            I would assume it would.

            Or contact Aron from carbondesign.

He is a sponsor here and makes great carbon stuff
