      Dry sump!
Or restrict the oil flow to the head a la Repo, otherwise your oil pump will be sucking air and the bearings will be toast

Good point.Do you think oilflow from head back to sump will be smaller than what pump sends at valve train?

Yes I believe above 8000rpm the oil pump sucks the oil out the sump quicker than it drains back. I thnk Repo did a mod to restrict the flow to the head to help combat this, but for 9k really you need a good dry sump setup IMHO.

                  Well actually, no.
But higher RPM is more fun.
Just have to see what money it will involve.
If there is too much money to be spent, maybe lower or stock rpm.

I have a spare Rebuilt weaver brothers 4 stage pump and bracket on my shelf if you go dry sump and need something. 034 dry sump pan is cheap as chips after making my own

Also have a tank and lines surplus

Any 2.2 is pretty fun with something with enough boost since 4k to 7k...500/550hp everydays without investing too much!

Care to share opinions on who does the best head porting, machine or otherwise? I've seen a few debates over this.

I always wonder why people ask how far they can rev to, just seems to be for the sake of it? Once the power is dropping off then its revved far enough as long as when you change gear you are back on full boost.
