Bit of a funny one this, i had a leak in the blanked off aux rad hose so thought it best to sort out and at the same time get some anti freeze in there.
so, pulled off the bottom hose and watched the merky water pee out, then went through 3 large watering cans flushing the system through, sorted the hose and reconnected the bottom hose, followed by adding 3 litres of antifreeze and water...lovely.
I then bleed the system like you do and ran upto temperature.
Now interestingly oil pressure has increased on the gauge from 1.2 to 1.5 bar
Now before I end up starting another debate on "oil pressure should show 1.8 to 2 bar" i will just remind peeps about the factory 2000 rpm test i was advised. My gauge has read low for years, but never drops....run it upto 2000rpm and it reads 4bar.
My question here is about a good system flush, can it increase oil pressure? I thought not but now my gauge shows 1.5 bar (still 4bar on 2k)
