Thank you. There were NO zero nada nyet NM motors on my side of the Atlantic so I wasn't sure what it was.

On a side note, the NM piston is 81.0 mm in diameter and is PN 034107065F. The VW 1.8L 16V engines, e.g. KR and PL, from around 1986 have a 81.0 mm diameter piston with a valve relief notch very similar to the NM. The PN for the VW piston is 027107065, i.e. quite similar. I am going to find out if there is a cross-reference between the NM and KR/PL pistons.

Yes, probably. So the NM and KR pistons can't be the same if their rods are both 144 mm.
