    RS2 Turbo new or RS2 Turbo recon & "hybrid'ised"

The new RS2 turbo is easy to source, all you need is the money,

But would it be cheaper, or significantly better to try to find a tired one, if it's possible to do so, and have it reconditioned and uprated at the same ?

Trying to work out which would be the best option in the long run ?

    Thanks for any advices.

Billet RS2 offers a 17% increase in flow while improving spool characteristics. The lightweight modern compressor design coupled with the light K24 7000 turbine makes for a torque monster. We have seen 430 crank hp on well prepared cars.
          What is it then, K24 7000 or K24 7200?
RS2 unit has K26 internals, AFAIK Compressors are no way interchangeable with with K24 7000.

Typo, sorry about that. Yes, t is a 7200 k24, but as you said, rs2's are more k26 than k24. Hope that helps.

So you send them your one and they deduct $500 out of the $1150 or this is the price with the deduction?
