Hi has any body used cnc heads in Stockport? They seem to know a lot about Audis speaking to Rick he said he's done a lot of 5 cylinderheads

Not sure if you prefer using CNC but JP @ JNL is well known when it comes to 5 pot heads

The head work done by cnc is only as good as what they copied, what I mean is they have to map out in 3D a head by probing that has been done by hand in the first place.
If the head was done by someone that knows what they are doing and has done proper bench flow testing then the result will be good as they effectively have copied the manual work.
Even then though there needs to be some finishing touches done by hand to achieve as good a result.

I have personally seen some of there work and was not impressed by the shape of the ports, for instance they did not weld up the exhaust ports before they started and in my opinion if your going to all the trouble of cnc profiling a port you may as well have the best shape you can and this cannot be achieved by just removing metal from a stock head you must weld up first.

I would just give it to JP as he knows how to make these heads flow.
