Great ecu, only issue will be integrating into the I5 as the F44 the base ecu doesn't have enough ignition drivers when I looked into it ages ago meaning you need an F88 minimum and that is hell of a step up in cost.

MOTEC has some track record on I5 integration… if you have deep pockets for M800 series - love how it extends to instruments etc but $cary price !

Unless you want to be a guinea pig for another ECU vendor then you will need to check they can accommodate the wonders of the 20VT engine for integration - as Jamo said - you need 5 x coil driver, 5 x injector outputs just for basic operation.

The aftermarket ECU doesn't necessarily need to integrate with 20VT flywheel - if it uses something standard like a 60-2 configuration then you could have a custom flywheel made (or modified accordingly) but you would need to do some homework alright.

Talking of 60-2 flywheel - there is always this alternative of course - http://www.s2forum.com/photoplog/ima...ming_wheel.jpg

There are alternatives to the flywheel, there is the 60-2 crank trigger from the lupo ( which I've just seen is your pic ) or the 60-2 on the front pulley

I'd go with the flywheel myself, 034 do one of the shelf.

You could look at the motec M84 which is good value for money and will easily run a 5 cylinder.

MoTeC all the way buddy we sell them and fit them to i5 engines and they are perfect. Life racing is a good product but when you buy MoTeC you can buy the rest of your products from there also like dash logger and e888 and pdm etc. We are just doing a S1 now with M84 ecu with a C125 Colour display also.

If you want something a bit nicer then the new "M" series MoTeC ecus are available with trigger modes for the i5 also. I have a M series for my 80 Drag car.....
