IROZ RS2 Turbo and Mapping

Hi guys,

I have a K24-7200 which will need a rebuild and was thinking of swapping it for an IROZ one. Has anyone done that and what is the difference? Does the butmeter feel the difference?

Is there a generic chip with 440cc injectors and 044 pump for instance?

How much will you take for the K24-7200 turbo needing rebuilt and is it an original RS2 item ?

Its for me or another local more likely… coupled to a decent EM, worst, IC, a fatter WG spring and 440cc injectors I still think its a great combination for fast road / track day / hill climb fun… even though the more modern blowers spool earlier and longer - it is almost plug and play and generates enough torque to induce a massive grin without shredding an 016 or 01E gearbox to pieces. Its not quite 100bhp per corner but damn close.

I tried both,and I felt much better the bigger one

yes, we have mapping for the billet rs2, 440cc injectors.

Yes, it is original OEM.

@ Paul I don't want to change too many things on the RS2 setup and for the moment would like to stick with it, just get earlier spool and bit more top end. Car will be for fast road / track day / hill climb fun and i think it is the best setup. If i change my mind will let you know.

@EFI Express - Do you have a spool/torque curve of your map?

@ Rocco - what is the setup on the k26/27? Does it have earlier spool than 7200 IROZ?

What sort of performance is available from these IROZ billet jobs ? They are new to me !

From Iroz MS:
"The dotted line is a HTA3076r which actually has a smaller inducer than the regular 30r, but retains 76mm on the exducer. e85 on 25psi, my tube header, full 3" exhaust, IIc, ect. This compressor is 30 grams lighter(almost 35% lighter) and smaller rotational intertia. It regularly outspools typical 30r's by 200-300 rpm.

The other line is a billet k26 on e85 with an rs2 manifold and 3" exhaust on Vems at 29.5psi. Give the 3076r a little bit of a break, as it is barely breathing at 25psi, and it will make more than 500whp at 33-34psi, but the spool difference is why I posted the picture. The k26 is basically being run wide open, and doesn't have a lot more to give.

3rd gear pulls on the same dyno within a couple days of eachother. Both stock piston, rod'ed motors with 7a cams and stock heads. The blue lines are torque, and they correspond directly with boost pressure. "
