    K26/27 Hybrid Turbo - Videos

    Hi Guys,

Do any of you have any videos of your cars running a K26/27 hybrid turbo?

I just want to see what I'm gonna be getting

RR print outs and figures are welcomed too

Not all K26/7 hybrid's are equal... the one fitted to my car (MD147) was pushing 371hp at 1.9bar with full boost in 3rd at about 4,000rpm.

My new K26/7 hybrid in more like 40-50hp above that, running 2.1bar by 3,900rpm in 3rd.

Search for Sonic's posts, he has a couple of videos on track with the K26/7 hybrid and a #8 hot side at 2.1bar and I believe it dyno'd at 435hp.

I do have some interior footage from castle coombe I could upload if you want, it's not great but you can get some idea of how it pulls in 3rd/4th.

From experience chasing Sonic on track, the RS2 turbo gives similar performance up to around 80 mph and then the extra power tells!

              The turbo I'm running is a kx500 which is a k26/27 hybrid with a #8 hot side.

Leigh has just bought my previous one after a rebuild which is the hoffer k26/27 hybrid with a #6, so the same as Ross's, which should be good for 400bhp.

                Thanks for the Videos guys!

Yeah I've bought a hoffer K26/27 turbo from Sonic, so just wanted to see what the results would be......I probably should have been more Specific in the original post.

I have seen Sonic's track videos before but I'll search for them for another watch thanks Ross.

                    I've also got a latest version of hoffer's K26/27 #6 on my RS2

No dyno material, but only real time experiences and tested multiple times:

Panamera GTS (pdk gearbox) from 50-200 i'm walking him very slightly
E46 M3 CSL is a big difference, starting from 3rd gear I'm leaving him behind quickly
                    B5 RS4 450hp is identical
B5 RS4 500hp walks away slowly at high speeds, but we're talking a few car lengts up to above 200
335i stage 3 Loba with 500hp doesn't pull away until 160, afther that it starts to creep away. Above 220 stronger
E92 M3 with full Akrapovic, intake, remap and 445hp on dyno is dead even.

And all the rest like E39M5, E36/46 M3 3.2, etc is a class lower.

I'm now in the process of dropping my CR, and going mapped water/meth. Prj reckons up till max 480hp will be achieved then.
