    Rotor arm problem?

My car was not running well, mis-firing a little and difficult to start. Once started ran ok...

What do you think the issue was?

Did you have a 12mm rota or 10mm fitted because I remember something about 12mm rota being wrong.

Has to be the wrong rotor (or cap) then because that isn't normal.

I think the proper rotor PN is 052905225C (10 mm).

The proper 3B rotor was also used by Toyota and is a PN 19102-02020 according to the archives. Marc S. from EFI Express has also posted on here as how to trim the tip of a 7A rotor down to 9 mm width to help cure spark hop.

Here is the thread. Unfortunately, Marc's photo has gone red [X]:

              Yeah. Narrow tipped one.

Not too worried as it will soon be converted to coil packs.

I was just shocked to see this as car was running nicely until suddenly it didn't start properly.

I've had the same thing happen to me . It's amazing how the engine still runs with such a big piece of the rotor arm missing . Put a new rotor arm on and was all good again .
