Quiz time... unknown wires on 7A conversion test!

I'm mid way through a 7A engine conversion into my T3 Tristar Pickup.

I have sorted out what all of the wires are (and connected them up etc) apart from 4 wires.

Two of the wires go to a black plug. The wires are Green/Brown and Purple/Yellow.

The other two wires are separate and are Green/Brown and Brown.

I already have the coolant temp sensor plugged in (on the back of the cylinder head).

I already have the external temp sensor plugged in (on the bracket which bolts to the corner of the rocker cover).

I have had the engine running (on the floor) and plugged in (Vag-com) to check for error codes and none are present.

My engine doesn't have an auxiliary water pump or I would expect that these would be for that.

    Any ideas please?

I think the 2 single wires go to engine bay temp sender, unsure about the plug in.

Are they not the two connectors that go to
      A. Brake fluid warning level
      B. Brake pressure warning switch on the hydraulic servo.

          Two engine bay temp sensors?

          What's the second one for?

Anyone got a photo as to where it should be bolted on to?

Yeah, I agree about the two separate plugs (the temp sensor goes on the back corner of the valve cover) and the connector could be the O2 (it has 2 connectors in the 7a) but hard to say. On second thought, given location, the connector could also go to the temp sensor on the back of the head.

You can see the temp sensor on the back of my engine above the DP:

One is the brake fluid level sensor. The other two spade connectors are for the brake servo pressure sensor. You won't be using either on your conversion I wouldn't have thought.

EDIT: Thinking about it there are two options actually...

1: One is the brake fluid level sensor. The other two spade connectors are for the brake servo pressure sensor.

              2. One is the idle switch. The two spades are for the engine bay temp sensor for the fan run-on.

I already have one engine bay temp sensor connected with two more wires with identical plugs connected to it, on the bracket from the corner of the rocker cover.

The Lambda sensor is connected up.

Ah ok, I'll stop worrying about them then

                  Thank you.

Sounds like you don't need them
