    RS2 Gauge Reading

Hope someone can share their normal readings on the following gauges of an RS2 :

    1. Oil Temp - There is a bolded marking between 60 and 130, and I have no idea what that marking should be ( 70 or 80 ? ). Mine is always slightly above that mark.

2 Oil pressure - on idle its about 1.5 bar. What should it be under heavy throttle ?

    Thanks

The bold mark is where the oil temp sits in our temperate climate but depending on your ambient temperature, it may sit a bit higher. Best to get your head down by the gear stick to get a proper view of the gauge

Oil pressure should be 1.5-2 bar idle, 4+ bar under load.

    What oil do you use? 10W40 / 10W50 / 10W60?

I am using Helix 10w60. Ambient temp 80% of the time is 25-35 Celsius, 20% 15-25 Celsius.

Oil pressure looks right and battery also. Oil temp should normally rise a little higher than that I would think but i guess it depends on driving style and ambient temp. Mine stays pretty cool but normally gets up to close to that second mark to the right of 60 mark. Obviously your aim should be to get it as high as possible by caning the absolute backside off the car ha ha.

That seems normal, can go close to 130 after a bit of spirited driving

My 3b cq tends to sit at 90deg unless i start cruising at 90mph. But had it as high as 110deg despite 16 row cooler....

Managed to get my 7A up to 130 at Castle Combe many, many years ago...

Mostly it sits at the first mark after the 60 in normal driving, even traffic.
