It's literally a 30 second job once you're looking at it. You can either use pliers or just give the old pedal a pull to break the plastic clip, then unhook the cable at the top. The new clip pushes into place and then you can hook the cable back on with your fingers or pliers. Cannot go wrong

Cheers so to be clear I can just pull the old pedal out of the pivot point no need to undo bolts or anything

There's no bolts involved.

It is very easy if it is same as s6 which I nthink it is, you might need to remove lower dash plastic bits to allow a bit more room and to see more clearly,

I did it on my s6 very easily and I am one down from novice, is less than one Haynes spanner rating....

On s6 there was clip to slide out to release and rubber type push connection right at top
