    Rad shafted again!!!

Just found my beur radiator is leaking from where the top tank meets the aluminium. Its not done 40k and still looks like new. Not impressed.
Noticed winner racing on the bay do an all ali one for £200. I have used one from them on a clio cup car and works great.
Long ago i made new top and bottom tanks for the beur one in ali but when the weld cools it cracks. Must have lots of magnesium in it hence the cool down cracking.Might try one, anyone else tried them?

Check with Danny @ DNA, he's put a Chinese alloy rad on Jamo's od car and said the quality was poor, it leaked out of the box!

My nearly new Behr rad is doing the same thing from the bottom end tank/core seal, only very slightly but leaking non the less. I was going to see if my local rad place could repair it but I've also been eyeing up alloy rads, not sure I want to buy another Behr and all the other options are rubbish.

I'd be up for an alloy rad group buy if we could get a few of us together.

I don't mind if it leaks on a weld. As long as it can be welded I'm ok.
I think I'll order one and report back on how I get on.

Fitted the Winner racing rad last week. All good. You just have to drill the mounting holes for the fan and other covers etc that bolt to the rad sides. Bottom and side mounts are there. As are the hook brackets for the ac condensor.
No leaks and pleased with the quality.
£189 took a week to arrive. Bargain.

Does it have a take off for the aux radiator?

It sure does. I didn't need to add any take offs. Just the mounting holes to drill.

Yes all good still. No issues through the hot part of the summer.

I got a pair for my mx bike at the same time.

i noticed recently they did one with a 70mm core depth, I wonder if this is a better solution for those deleting the aux (as I have) or whether the standard one you fitted Rob is more than efficient enough over the stock Behr unit???
