    Intercooler anti-rot treatment!!

Whilst the car is on the ramps (again) i thought i would fit the SFS IC to x member hose thing. Im sick of replacing these 'o' rings. 2 in 3 months now!! When i looked inside the IC it was full of oil in the bottom of it.

I think this is the result of the valve stem oil seals leaking for a while. @Mark may be worth looking at yours m8.

Anyway changed the VS oil seals a while ago and never cleaned the IC.

I have now cleaned it right out, loads of oil sludge buildup in the bottom of it. I used a de-greasing bath at work to remove the oil. Just stuck the hose bit in one end and let it run through for about 30 mins or so.

This may bring inlet temps down a little?

Forgot to mention that the bumper was a right mare to get off. The bolts that go into the wings had rusted almost solid. Proper *******.

PS The cleaning fluid is a light green colour when going in the IC, look at the colour on the way out!!!

before Doug gets in and we end up with another debate about how I shouldn't use kitchen utensils as part of my toolbox ....

              1 smidge = 1.5 tablespoons

Therefore my Coupe's IC only had 3/4 smidge. proving that:

              a) superiority is always short lived
              b) there's always some smart-**** 'better'
              c) who needs friends....
              d) blah......
