    Help with VAG COM

    Hi all

RS2junkie and I are trying to hook up the vag com to my rs2. The cables are all connected but the system is not picking up the signals.

We checked the fuse 21 and it is all good.

    The port test says
    Status: questionable
    K1: short to ground
    K2: short to ground
    CAN: not supported

    Any leads?

      Black and white.

We have an observation that the external electronic boost controller might be the culprit, though.

        Hi,

Yes, the black power cable and the white signal cable fit OK but it shows a short to ground error when we test the connection. I know the cable works, its an original ROSTECH cable and it has read the codes on my RS2 fine...

Hiksa's car is heavily modified by MTM and has a variable boost controller which I wonder might be disrupting the signal some how, is that possible ?

Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the white signal port in the fuse box, I see there is a white and a green wire going to the white plug and the cables feel tight enough ? Is there any terminals between the port and the ECU that might be a source of the problem ?

Is it correct that I can connect to the cables closer to the ECU ? Anybody done it ?

        PAUL

Whenever I use my vagcom I always have to run a live feed to my black obd port as it appears dead. My vagcom says the controller/interface cannot be found etc so what I do is run a wire from fuse 27 I think it is

          Works for me !
