    RS2 Engine issue when cold

    Hello Guys,

I have finaly pulled my RS2 from winter sleep and took it for drive yesterday. I noticed that when engine is cold that when accelarating very easy( due to engine being cold) that at one point engine bogs down and then then pulls again.

It almost feels like TPS issue where it has dead spot, but problem goes away when engine warms up or it reduces sto that i dont feel it anymore. I have no fault codes, already checked.

I am planing to measure fuel pressure and scope the tps sometimes this week when i get time, but was wonderin if someone had similar problem

Thanks for all suggestions in advance

I would guess it is more a G62 Coolant temp sensor issue than the TPS.

Here is some throttle position switch info, including a test procedure that you can use to eliminate it as the cause:

Both of those can be accessed by clicking on their respective labels in this live link Engine Bay Device Map:

Over the 2 years that I had my S2, this happened maybe 4/5 times, and cleaning the MAF multi-plug seemed to clear it each time.
Maybe this cure was just a coincidence??
Altho I no longer have the car, I'm curious to know what is the actual outcome of this thread.

Thanks for the Info. I did replace 2 years ago G62 sensor while I was rebuilding the engine, however i did not install original Audi sensor, so perhaps this is an issue.

I will check on this keep you guys posted.
