American figures tho... as ive read before seem to be some what optimistic.

535hp at 2bar.... doesnt sound likely

Do no believe you. Or the dyno. 435 could perhaps be possible, but major engine work would be needed.

400 hp at the wheels...he could spin all 4 tires till 3rd gear. The sucky part is that the Turbo didn't reach full boost until 4.2K rpm.
He had titanium connecting rods, forged pistons, extrude honed intake manifold, ex honed head, ex honed cold-side of turbo, RS2 exhaust manifold, RS2 exhaust cam, lightweight bilstein valves, the list goes on and on. He invested over $50,000 on the car while working for a race team.

Joe, an RS2 turbo cannot make that sort of power, the compressor wheel can't do it. The hot side can't do it either, it doesn't flow enough gasses for 400+ HP.

If it's dynojet figures, then yeah right, but 400ATW is total bull****.

For maRS2: a GT30R can't make 1.8 Bar at 2500 on an RS2 engine without surging like a mother****er, because none of these garretts was actually meant for a 2.2l 20vt engine. If you want boost lower down, you can get it with the RS2 turbo (1.7 Bar at 2600 RPM in 6th gear) but you need a completely free-flowing exhaust. Now I know the exhaust you have doesn't flow as good as it should, as we have already seen the amount of backpressure you had with that restrictor in it, that made the engine boost at 2.5 bar and more....

What will you need to get to 400 hp with the rs2 setup? Do you think this can be archied with:
                  -rs2 injectors
                  -rs2 turbo
                  -3”exhaust with separate wastegate pipe
                  -big Intercooler (like Jeffers)
                  -front IM
-rs2 EM (I have heared it can be used till 425 hp)
                  -Mihnea remap
                  -both 7a cams

                  thanks,

                  Erik

Erik, the RS2 turbo could achieve 400-ish HP if it's being pushed close to its reliability limits, which I don't really like... Sal's S2 for instance is putting out ~410 crank HP (316 at the wheels), but it's defiinitely not something I'd do for everyone, knowing how easy it is to blow a turbo...

I guess water injection and an intercooler sprayer might help, as well as an even larger than 3" exhaust system with separated WG pipe...

Invested over $50k and still used a bronze age charger design like KKK? Clueless.

@porkkis: you can say whatever you want, IMHO KKK turbos are very good for our cars. The RS2 turbo is the only turbo that I know of that doesn't surge like a MoFo when pushed to 2 bar at 2800 RPM. Find me a garrett that doesn't surge like that and I'll agree with you.

What size plumbing do you recommend from turbo to IC? What size should IC inlet/outlet be? I know many people run 2.5" inlet and 3" outlet. Recommendations?

Hey Mihnea, Can you retune my car to 2 bar at 2800 RPM on 91 Octane? Have RS2 set up in Coupe in states that you originally tuned (hoff/Treadway) to push 1.4 Bar on street gax. What would I have to change to push 2 bar at 2800. Tired of looking for 100 octane to feel the power!!!!

Lol, hey Chris, good to see you here

2.0 Bar at 2800 RPM will only work with 7:1 compression ratio in a 20VT with 91 craptane from da west coast... so not many options there to get the power except for 100 octane
