    lumpy idle urs4?

Alright guys just a quick one, had the ur for a little while and noticed she has a lumpy idle. It doesn't really show on the rev guage but you can feel and hear its lumpy (sorry best way to describe), lol anyone have any insight or advice?

Also another one my temp guage sits just above 90° is that normal?

Sorry for the maybe ridiculous sounding questions but would appreciate any insight.
    Thanks Ade

Lumpy = miss = read this:

Normal temps = 90 C while driving, idling could go a bit higher

Cheers for that buddy. I have some investigation work to undertake lol. If the coils have give up the go would a coil conversion be on the cards? And best place and ones to get? And what kind of price range would I be looking at for oem or the conversion? Cheers

You're talking about a 20+ year old car It's not necessarily bad, just might indicate that there's something internal that you'll not cure with coils etc.

Why did your water temp go sky high? Sounds like it's not pressurising to give a reading like that.

Its only ever got to the yelliw point on the guage shown above. Just above 90° but seems to sit there quite happily lol.

Also I have a squeek/screeching noise from my steering. Only at low speeds but doesn't sound like a pump or anything more like metal on metal ish!

And I do apologise I am new to all this lol

Check that the power steering fluid is green and not grey, black, red or blue. Needs to be the correct mineral oil to G002000 or G004000 and flushing the system is a very good plan, as it's not a specified service item, so may never have been touched.

Yeah steering fluid all seems good! Its like a creaking noise definitely happens on full lock at low speeds.
