No doubt in your experience, but as far es I know- SMS used stock injectors, AFAIK their motors do not have baddest reputations, so that should have worked, so- could you explain why?

I'm sure Dimtri will be along soon enough but as far as I understand it the SMS 303 software is designed for a K26 hybrid and stock injectors, however this really is the limit of stock injectors and given that the RS2 turbo pushes out more air than the K26 hybrid there's a strong risk of getting into lean territory.

That´s might be the only way I could explain it for myself- but the difference between RS2 an SMS turbo is so small on comp side, that I thought that would not cause problems- espacially, since with the given software both turbos aren´t running on their limit, both have to produce same pressure and that, for me, means same airflow.

I know 2 guys, that run setup as here, the 303hp software- RS2 turbo with stock 3b injectors, fuel pump and fuel pressure, both with no problems. Otherwise I wouldn´t write in here ;-)

Same boost pressure from 2 different turbos does not
mean the same airflow, in fact it can vary a lot.
          Its all about pressure ratio.
You can have a turbo with a big turbine A/R and it can
make 50% more power at 2 bar psig than a smaller turbo
          makes at 2 bar psig.
Less restrictive turbine gets you more airflow for same boost
pressure due to better pressure ratio.

            T03/04 58/55mm @1.7bar = 381hp

            HX40S 59/64mm @1.7bar = 612hp

Of course there was some other small diffrences between the setups but same boost.

              AAN/ABY injectors flow 280cc at 3 bar.
              3B injectors flow 320cc at 3 bar.

Anyway, this is a pointless discussion. Those people who swap chips and build hardware around chips are basically dinosaurs soon to be extinct
You calibrate the ECU to work with your hardware, you don't buy hardware because you have some chip somewhere.

Fit an EGT gauge and go for a top speed run on the autobahn, then see what happens with the setup you described.
And then people wonder why there are cracked heads, cracked turbo exhaust housings, cracked manifolds etc.

These cars have been around for over 20 years now. Nearly everything has been done before. Most of the mistakes have been made before. It is just silly to repeat them.

Not a discussion, only asking for explanation ;-)

So it may work on 3B, but it's more dangerous on AAN/ABY?

3B never had any SMS Revo software.
So I am not sure why you are even talking about 3B.

SMS Revo was the Audi UrS4.

IME, its good for 380 crank. Not saying spool wouldn't be faster with a 3" straight through but stock is very good for up to RS2 levels. Nice and quite too, to avoid angry neighbours.

I think stock UrS4 exhaust is OK for 400hp if you decat it.

After that you can replace the split section and cats+dp with a 3" that joins into the original exhaust, and this is good for around 480hp….

And after that it is better to get different higher flow mufflers and custom exhaust system.
