    few parts needed, availability? rs2

few bits I want to replace while im doing the cambelt.

    oil cooler, and duct
    manifold heat shield

made a quick call to rad specialist who said they cannot get oil cooler new but most likely can recore. I am also getting the aux rad re cored instead of a new item.

can you buy the duct new? and exhaust manifold heat shield? the front bit is a bit rutsy, the rear section seems fine.

    thanks

Hi Nick, I got my oil cooler from quattro corner not too long ago, should be the same for S2/RS2 I believe. Also which part of the duct are you looking for, is it the one which bolts on to the rest of the bracket and oil cooler or the actual plastic air guide?

Not sure about manifold heat shield but sure you can get this sorted as well. Aux rad is available from quattro corner as well but very pricey.

Just FYI I had the part of the bracket to the oil cooler which was rusted away fabbed up by a local engineer which was a direct fit, galvanised and painted for protection. Came out really well

Thought you would want to take a look

Also thought this might help you let us know which number you want

cheers. I am a fabricator by trade so can knock anything up that cant be sourced. just would like to keep original parts where possible.

im getting aux rad re cored and rebuilt for £150.

will give Quattro corner a shout. I think its just the air guide to the oil cooler that's needed. I can make that up if cant be bought for sensible money

      thanks

Sure you can find an air guide from someone on here that has broken a couple of S2s . Air guide is about 208 euro from Audi

Aux Rad new IIRC was about 215-220 GBP.

Aux rads are deffo available if you hunt around. I did mine recently and found a brand new one on ebay for £179.00.

Got mine from this seller. Cannot see any on the bay of thieves, but might be worth sending him a message

Heat shield I believe is NLA as I tried to get one a while back.

Try AndyG for a oil cooler air duct, he might have one.

I will fabricate an air guide I think. from ally so it doesn't rot. aux rad can either get new from Quattro corner for around £260, or can just have mine re cored and refurbished so like new for only £150. oil cooler can get new aswell for £210.

any ideas on exhaust manifold heat shield

also If I remove the turbo to have it re freshed, can I get all the gaskets/parts to put it all back together again no issue?

any other items worthwhile doing while I have the front end apart?

              cheers

if heat shield is nla I can also fabricate a new one to look the same as original.

thanks for links to aux and oil cooler. think I will have my aux re freshed and buy a new oil cooler. then fab air guide and heatshield.

All the bolts + gaskets etc for EM, wastegate, turbo can be sourced from dealer or Quattro Corner. They are the same as S2 except the EM studs which are shorter and more expensive.
