            Factory AAN Oil Recommendations

Someone wanted this so I dug out an manual and posted this info ( I though I did this here but Search wouldn't dig it up).

The manual for the 95 UrS6 suggests the following:

For air temps from -30C to +40C

            Synthetics: 5W30, 5W40, 10W30, and 10W40

            Dino: 5W50, 10W50, 10W60

For air temps between +15C and -30C

            Dino: 5W30 and 5W40

For air temps between +15C and -17.5C

            Dino: 10W30 and 10W40

For air temps between -15C and 40C (and more)

            Dino: 15W/40, 15W50, 20W40 and 20W/50

Here in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada, where -10C is very cold (and thankfully rare), I run 20W/50 dino year round (and have since 1998).

I was planing t for engine oil to go with 10w40 since we dont have cold winters(almost never under -2) but the summer are very hot,35-45.But my main problem for engine oil is that i am not sure what oil manufactor to use? Also i dont have a clue which oil i need for diferencial and gearbox since i never change that in any of my car

Hi Marco, use a 10-40 as never gets cold there and make sure you buy a genuine Audi oil filter!!! i just bought Shell Helix Ultra Fully Synthetic 5-40 for my urs6 it's a very good oil that was used from when the car was brand new in my 80 2.6 estate. All the oil changes were done by Audi up to 125,000 miles with Shell Helix at the dealer using 10-40. The engine was super creamy smooth on that oil. You could buy an Ester based oil but is at least £50.00 plus so double cost of the Shell i bought.I change oil very regularly never go more than 5,000 miles and frequently change at 3,000 or less as it makes me feel good and the car loves it.

                  Hi

I would use a 10w-50 for that kind of temperature range.

The Nanodrive CFS is, on paper, the best oil available, but the Pro S and CFS are both really good oils, so all are good choices for your car.

I'd go for a 75w-90 in the gearbox and diff.

If you want to go for the best, the Millers CRX 75w-90 NT, Gulf Competition, Motul Gear 300, Red Line MT90 and Millers TRX are ideal for the gearbox. The Castrol Universal/Universal Plus/Syntrans Multivehicle, Motul Motylgear and Fuchs Gear Syn are all decent alternatives. The Fuchs Syn 5, Millers CRX, Redline 75w-90 GL5, Motul Gear 300 and Gulf Competition are ideal for the diff. The Fuchs Sintopoid, Castrol Syntrax Longlife, Millers TRX, Motul Motylgear, Mobil SHC and Amsoil FGR are also good choices.

                  Cheers

Many people on here use Fuchs Titan Pro S 10w 50 for I5 20vt engines with mileage on them. When I changed, I noticed a change in terms of the engine being slightly more quiet. Yes they are expensive but not that much considering it is the blood your engine runs on. Treat it with any of the 3 that Oilman advised and you won't be disappointed.

Pretty sure Opie Oils will ship internationally as long as it isn't fuel or aerosol containers.

                              Hi

It probably isn't cheap, although we don't have rates for shipping to Montenegro on the site. I think it will be about £33 to £47 for 5L of oil.

                              Cheers
