What is the actual code you are getting. This could just be down to ignition timing being out.

my 16v run well for some time. then the dizzy and leads (i think) started to go. maybe hall sender. not too hard to change. mark it all up well first.

i always planned aby conversion so wasn't that bothered. leads at 200 odd quid were not ideal.

remember the corrado 2l 16v is a good parts source also.
